Fuse Question

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to determine why the main battery on my Disco 2 TD5 is drained in less than a week when the vehicle is not used. I have a drain of about .6 amps. I removed and replaced fuses in the engine bay and when I removed the fuse no 8 the drain dropped to .005 amps. The fuse symbol on the fuse box is of a trailer. I assume this is the circuite for detecting when a trailer is conencted and activating the dash indicator light when useing the indicators. I do have a tow bar fitted so it is used and working correctly. What exactly does this circuit do, I also hear a Beep from the rear alarm sounder when putting the fuse back.

Any ideas?
