KeithFlint
My series 3 came without a jack or wheelbrace, so I've decided to get a trolley jack. Wanted to check that it is OK to jack the vehicle up using the clamping plates under the leaf springs, as this seems the most convenient and safest spot. Thanks, Keith. western
They would be the best location to use.
Les Henson
The cup of the trolley jack will fit niceley between the 4 threads of the U-bolts. If you need to work on the axle itself and it has to hang off the ground for any reason, then use a block of wood between the cup and the chassis rail as even a good condition chassis can be bent with the weight on the cup.
