Gromit
OMG, I've just priced a new indicator switch from LR. 130 euo plus VAT. Now the switch doesn't cancel which doesn't bother me much, but the light flash only works intermittently which does. The contact in the switch becomes electrically resistant after a while. I'm bored fettling it every 2 months, dang prince of darkness <shakes fist> However this is not worth 150 quid to fix. Are the pattern indicator switches really that pooey? Who sells them? Didn't see the part listed on Paddocks. Anyone got one they'd like to part with? I'm still in shock.
Tonk
but the light flash only works intermittently i thought they were meant to flash one here
Gromit
i thought they were meant to flash one here Commedian eh? One sure neads a sense of humour running a Land Rover. Cheers for the link. Surprisingly, didn't think of that very popular on-line auction site. Just found one on Craddocks for 24 quid STG - I assume it's britpart too. Gromit
I've been looking at a few switches online and some don't have part numbers. In the EPC, there a note on the switch: PRC3875 - Up to FA455595 STC439 - From HA455596 From memory my VIN is HA90XXX so it seems I need STC439. Does anyone know what the differences are between the two. Looking at the picture of PRC3875, it looks very similar to the one I have at the moment. Out of curiosity, what what happened the VIN numbers between FA455595 and HA455596? Were they skipped or am I missing something stoopid? Why is there no G suffix? simonb
Or look on Eblag, they usually aren't more than 30 squid on there and brand new ones are often listed.

Guest diesel_jim
Now the switch doesn't cancel which doesn't bother me much, you need to remove the steering wheel, and rotate the white plastic thing 180degrees (there should be an arrow on it which points "left" i think...) Does anyone know what the differences are between the two. Looking at the picture of PRC3875, it looks very similar to the one I have at the moment. They look the same, but have different plugs on them (round bullet types on all up to 300Tdi and sealed pins on 300 onwards)
western
Walfy --- Out of curiosity, what what happened the VIN numbers between FA455595 and HA455596? Were they skipped or am I missing something stoopid? Why is there no G suffix? LR probably didn't use the GA prefix to distinguish 90/110 from Defender 90/110. I removed it as the indicators cancelled all the time. At least Full User Control is preferable to the LR deciding what to do. So AIUI, getting the wrong type of switch wouldn't be the end of the world, just a bit of rewiring to get it in.
