Ben Jordan
I am thinking of buying a second hand van in Germany and bringing it back to the UK. What taxes would i be charged and how do they work out the cost? What else would i have to do to get it registered and legal for the UK roads? Thanks in advance. western
IIRC vehicles from other EU country's are compliant with UK/EU regs so it shouldn't need any extra work/changes.
BogMonster
steering wheel on the wrong side? I think as far as emissions and similar legislative cr&p is concerned, EU regs are EU wide. Makes you wonder what will happen to some of the new member countries down in the bottom right hand sort of corner

Ben Jordan
steering wheel on the wrong side? My Wolf has the steering wheel on the "wrong side" so that shouldn't be a problem.

GBMUD
Remember that the headlamps will dip to the right on a LHD van. You either need deflectors or, if you need to see where you are going at night, change the headlamps for LH dip ones. Chris

Zed0
As well as it takes the DVLA 3-6 weeks to just to send you the relevant forms And about 13-16 phone calls to check if they actually put them in the post.
