NicTheOrange90
Had rear crossmember replaced in November and as the tank was down invested in a new fuel pump. Six months later it has failed (high pressure side). Has anyone else experienced aftermarket TD5 fuel pumps ?
NicTheOrange90
Just got a reply back from Duncan @ Britcar, he says he is unable to supply aftermarket pumps (mine failed less than 2000 miles) so has agreed to take it back and supply with genuine part. So it seems there might be a problem with non genuine TD5 pumps if he is unable to supply them any more !
nicksmelly
I have bought a few Genuine pumps off eBay for about £150. All from main dealers selling off surplus stock. They have all come in genuine boxes with a proper invoice. I went to Hill n Dale main dealer to enquire how much a Defender TD5 pump was and they are £233 + vat.
