David Sparkes
Put some clothes in the wash today, when the machine had finished there in the glass door was some clean coins. Oh well, shrug, transfer to a pocket in the trousers I'm wearing. Transferred the clothes to the tumble drier, when the buzzer went, there in the glass door was a clean key fob remote control! Oops. WITHOUT pressing any buttons, remove the button pad, the battery cover, and the batteries. Leave it for an hour or so. Clean the battery contact faces, give them a very light smear of Petroleum Jelly, and reassemble. Find the spare fob, unlock the car and clear the alarm, resynchronise the cleaned fob and the jobs a good 'un. It was only a 40c wash cycle, and I know that's what is supposed to happen, but still .... phew :-)
