landkeeper
does anyone have an idea as to when the aframe x member changed on the rrc chassis from the retangular type to the round tubular discovery type
Clive
The rectangular A-Frame cross member is for those vehicles equipped with the Boge self-levelling mecahnism. The tubular cross member is fitted to those vehicles equipped with Air suspension.
Bowie69
Umm, I have a round one, and had a Boge self leveller, not air, I think it is more likely to be based on build date than suspension type TBH.

Oh, glad you said this Bowie69, as I have a 1990 with Boge, no air AND tubular x-member - thought in a second that either my frame was changed or the air suspension was removed...you just never know when you buy a twenty year old vehicle . Clive
Hmm! My information was obviously wrong! It must be date related.
p76rangie
Hmm! My information was obviously wrong! It must be date related. The air Suspension ones did not have a bracket for a BOGE unit to be fitted, so they are different and you are partly right. The earliest I have seen the round ones on is a 1990.
