Should I see the Doctor about this? I think I'm suffering... laugh.gif

No Ross,

You are suffering from two things that are compounding each other, first is the NTS (New Toy Syndrome) it can be very catching but is often cured by a dose of empty wallet therapy.

What you will find is that it will develop into WLTNGA syndrome (Wish list That Never Goes Away) there is no known treatment for this and no matter how many symptoms you tick off, more will develop.

The second thing you are suffering from is a serious case of Perfectionitus it has been closely linked to OCD but is not quite the same. with OCD you want to do things correctly all of the time which is not a bad trate.

A lot of studies have been done around Perfectionitus and it is thought to develop when sinking your life savings into something you have always wanted, what happens is you create an image in your head that reaches iconic status, and is perfect in every way. The reality is never the same the chasm between the two can either be filled by Perfectionistus or LWIAE (Live With It And Enjoy)

Perfectionitus is more commonly found amongst the young, other symptoms include a slight moister behind the ears and an enlarged wallet from living at home and not having kids!!!!!! It can affect the middle aged too, Unfortunately Perfectionitus is terminal when you own a Land Rover due to WLTNGA Syndrome (See Above...) and it will end with a For Sale notice in a magazine or posted on a web site, This is often followed by a deep sense of personal shame, and longing for your next fix of green oval, when you do get your next fix, it will never be the same as that first rush and you will always be left with a sense of emptiness which can be mixed up with the emptiness in your wallet.

However don’t worry in all but the most serious cases and given some time Perfectionitus develops into LWIAE which is no worse than athletes foot. (an itch that you want to scratch all the time)

Jason.
