carlosbeldia
Hi there. I have a faulty CKP sensor, so I decided to change the original for a new one bought in UK. However, after taking out the old one, I found there is no loom from wire harness to the sensor, there are only 2 terminals. Can I connect them in any way, or there is a positive and a negative lead? I have been trying to start the car a few times and it doesn't come to live, but I think it's the battery (it marks 12.30V alone and 11.9 with open switch, it's kind of wrong, isn't it?). A cousin is in his way with a fresh one to see if car is not starting for this reason.....
FridgeFreezer
Yes they do have a polarity, you are unlikely to damage anything by having it the wrong way round, the thing just won't start, or may run badly.
carlosbeldia
Thanks a lot. I have now changed the correct polarity and runs fine. Regards...
