Maverik
Quite an intresting concept, some might even call it an Oxymoron... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RANGE-ROVER-VOGUE-NEW-TOYOTA-LANDCRUISER-ENGINE-/260608980611?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3cad817683
defender 200tdi
A few contradictions there! Nissan diesel, Toyota landcruiser, International.. lol
Off Road Toad
Funny thing is it's not a land cruiser engine, so someones flowing with BS. It's the 2.8 hs based on the 300tdi by the looks of things. Steve
v8bertha
errr... FROGMORE ISLAND 4X4???
nicks90
the only turbo diesel toyota did in 2.8 guise was the 3L. 91bhp and 135ft-lbs would barely shift a P38, never mind hit 40mpg or nissan - RD28eTi 130bhp and 192ft-lbs again, rubbish in a p38 and it looks like a 300tdi... Jurriaan
It's the 2.8 hs based on the 300tdi by the looks of things. Think you're right, here's a picture of mine in a Disco if you want to compare: http://www.mijnalbum.nl/GroteFoto-I6UEP7PB.jpg

headhunter
Engine is an International 2.8TGV as stated above, developed from the 300TDI. I have one in my 110! John
FridgeFreezer
Thought I recognised that, it's the TGV 2.8 lump. If TSD's truck is anything to go by you'd have to drive like a pensioner to get 40mpg, or even 30 Edit: Keyboard trouble
Ryan
dive like a pensioner
