denviks Posted June 30, 2010 Share Posted June 30, 2010 hi all..... a quick engineering / land rover question. i am having major problems greasing up the uj's on my disco's props. so i was thinking about fitting the longer type of grease nipples..... i have standards at the moment. can anyone tell me what the correct size is for the longer ones? kingdong2 Posted July 3, 2010 Share Posted July 3, 2010 Hi denviks i take it you have a prob with holding the gun on the nipple and pumping the grease in, i had the same prob last weekend with my mates 300tdi, had to get the ramps out and drive the disco onto them, i have two pairs but you should be able to do it with 1 pair or a jack and axle stands. graham _______________ 03 d2 td5 auto e.s. teabag Posted July 6, 2010 Share Posted July 6, 2010 If your grease guns connector is to thick to get into the cv joint and clip onto the nipple just put the connector on a grind stone and take a few laps of metal off and it will then fit.
