smokinv8
Looking at changing my tyres soon and want to either get some more special tracks in 265/75/16 flavour again or go for 285/75/16, but will they fit onto 7x16 mach 5 (Old style) rims anyone know? Thanks Neil
BogMonster
Yes and no. 7x16 is probably outside the approved rim size for a 285/75R16 but yes it will 'work'.
Brookers
Yep they will fit but the recomended rim width is 8". you will really have to think about the width of 285's as I had them fitted on 8" modulars with +30mm offset and 30mm wheel spacers and found I still lost a lot of steering lock where the lugs caught on the radius arms. Oh and I have a set of five low milage 285/75x16 special tracs for sale I'm running simex now. Brookers
Bowie69
Convert them to beadlocks, then you'd gain an inch
smokinv8
Thanks for the advice guys, think I'l stick to the 265/75 option instead then as they have worked well before with no issues and "its only and inch difference" which doesnt trouble me too much but my missus would tell a different story!
