Wipers don't Park...

Recommended Posts

To hijack a bit onto Mark's thread here, my 110's wipers seem to work fine in operation (as in they do the correct patterns in terms of operation, and they don't just stop dead when I move the switch), but they appear to never return to the proper location. The sweep is largely reduced too, am I looking at a lot of wear in the wheel boxes?

I assume also that it is a crash-pad off job to swap them as well? :(

The giveaway is when you can wipe half the screen by pushing the arm backwards and forwards yourself! Yes, I'd say you have a worn mechanism :o and yes its a crash pad off job.

Ive had new wiper boxes fitted along with a new wiper motor, but my wipers have developed a similar problem.

When I switch them off they suddenly stop instead of parking. I wouldnt expect this to happen seeing as Ive got a new motor fitted?
