Inside light

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! Can anyone help me with a small problem? (no not that one!) since i got my Defender td5 110 the inside light fails to come on when the doors are opened! now if i open them without killing the alarm the alarm goes off, telling me that the door switch/s are working? if i switch off the alarm via key-fob the inside light comes on for just a split second?then off again! i have checked the switch on/off everything works! a fellow landy owner told me that the settings in the ECU may have been reset i.e. the length of time the inside light stays on for?

1. Is this possible?

2. Could it be something else other than ECU?

3. when will the pain stop?

Thanks for any in put!

1. The interior lights are switched from the alarm ecu, they need to be set/activated using a plug-in diagnostic utility, Nanocom for example.

2. Doubtful.

3. Never, there will always be something else, it's a Land Rover thing. ;)
