That shows total deformation of the steel, where the twist has excceded the memory / metals strength of taking load. There is also F all in the way of any radius off the oil seal, but as Fridges picture says £3 for a wheel bearing what can possibly go wrong Buy something decent - Ashcroft Maxidrive KAM Rakeway M300 and your not have any more problems, not all halfshafts or makers / supplier are the same Nige EDITED TO ADD : ER That looks like 10 spline at the diff end ??????
