I ought to do the same with my new props. What type of grease gun should I buy? Do I need one with a special tube fitment for the prop/uj nozzles?

push on end fitting, any good tool store inc B&Q & Halfords should keep them, one with a flexible hose is best then you can get the fitting square on the nipple to stop grease spurtting out the sides.

I see what you mean about the JCB's grease, it's like rocking horse ***t!

Every one seems to rate the stuff but try finding where to get it, that's something else

I'll make a few calls tomorrow and see how we get on.

1. JCB grease cartridge

2. box of 24 cartridges that'll last you for years.

Yes Nick, Les Henson uses it for bearings & UJ's plus it's used everywhere on JCB excavators so is definitly good stuff. I do know that SHB's vehicle engineers use it too on their hire 4x4's ic LR's.
