Spooner
Hi, I'm currently trying to fit an alarm to my 1999 TD5 Defender and trying to find what wire(s) I can tap into so that the alarm knows when the doors have been opened. Appreciate that discussing alarms on an open forum is a sensitive subject so If you could PM me with any responses...
SteveG
All TD5's have a factory alarm fitted. You just need to buy fobs and activate it. For your aftermarket alarm you can take feed from door and bonnet switches to ECU, or you can tap into interior light (however, this only works on door switches). Download a copy of RAVE and you'll get full TD5 wiring diagrams Cheers Steve
