nickwilliams
My new (to me) 300 Tdi engine has a one way valve in the return line from the injector pump to the tank. It's a small (approx. 25mm dia. x 25 mm long) diecast cylinder which sits beneath the driver's feet and when I unscrewed the two halves to try to clean it tonight the thread has stripped. I can't find it in the parts book. Is it really necessary, and if so what's the part number? Nick.

nickwilliams
Thanks for looking. I'll try it without and see if it's vital. Nick.
western
does it look original or a added in aftermarket part, AFAIK Tdi's don't have any valves like that in the spill return line.
nickwilliams
It looks original. I'll snap a few pictures and post them over the weekend.
