TD5 De-cat pipe

I am seriously considering taking the cat out of the system on my TD5 110. I would still be left with the middle silencer. Would it be better to straight through this pipe too. De cat pipe is around £60, and mid pipe is around £60.

Anyone know if there is a kit available to do both at less than £120.

The mufflers on turbo exhausts are straight through, rather than baffled like normally aspirated engine exhausts, so replacing the centre section will make no difference.

Thanks for that, I can save myself at least £60. Do you know if removing the cat makes any significant difference to mpg or would I be wasting more time and money

Yes, take out the entire thing and replace with a straight-through pipe. You can leave the exit silencer if you like.

Without the centre silencer box, your turbo will spool up faster, your EGT will be lowered, and you'll get some extra voomah! Best bang for buck mod on a Td5
