as it says.. what sort of money should i expect to pay a good, independant LR specialist to change the clutch and fork on my 1996 Disco 300Tdi?

i've got a place in mind (who does my MOT's and stuff) but no idea what they might say when i phone up....

i don't know how long it takes as not sure if its an engine out job, or strip half the interior out... :(

i know the bits are about £100....

cheers

if northfleet and swindon we're not so far appart, i'd probably take you up on that Les....

If a clutch kit costs about £100 then the difference will pay for the diesel and a night in a Travel lodge! There, a free holiday in sunny Swindon with every clutch change! :) You can then drive home across Salisbury Plain. Are you still thinking?

Defender not disco, but T H Whites quoted me about £650 + vat last year.

needless to say, i didn't go there (although work was paying anyway.... if it was my 110 i'd have done it myself!)
