Disco300
Would anyone say that £800 is a very reasonable price for a P(96) Reg 300 Tdi Discovery? It had 132,000 miles on the clock, all terrain tyres, a few dents here n there but nothing major and the odd small water leak (but only around the sills n sunroof). plasticbadger
It all depends on rust and tax/MOT. If it's pretty rust free, doesn't need any welding and has an MOT then £800 is a steal. If you can add some service history and it drives well (good suspension and transmission) then £800 is an absolute bargin. If (the more likely outcome) it's got rust, little or no MOT and needs welding and other work before the next MOT then £800 is at the upper end of what you'd be able to find. leon_81
i paid 850 for mine, 100% standard with 5 months MOT pretty tidy, almost no rust at all - usual leaks and dodgy rear electric windows though (easy fix)
Disco300
Ours had tax and MOT til next April. It recently (2 months ago) had a big lots of welding done but not welding on the chassis. It just had new bushes all round and the gearbox is fine apart from the layshaft bearings just starting to make a little bit of noise
