Jimmy Two-Jacks
At last after messing about with the doors on my 90 for about two years trying to get the things to fit after replacing the bulkhead outriggers, I have finally got the bloody things to fit with an even gap all round and the lock-keepers even hit the strikers!!!!!! And open and close without the use of a fire and rescue air jack. I could never work out why the screen to door frame gap was always much bigger, I didn’t realize that the screen could be altered in relation to the bulkhead I thought it was just a set fixing with no adjustment…..Doh Its more like alchemy than engineering getting them to fit no wonder Defenders were handmade you couldn’t get a machine that would bugger about like a human. Oh well onward wings and bonnet next….
Maverik
I presume you mean the compression type bolt on the inside of the windscreen, that backs onto the hinges? - I always thought that was just for hinged windscreens - it can be used of course to adjust the gap a tad yup.
