club
Hi, I'm having a problem with my Discovery 2002 TD5. If I tell you the symptons maybe someone can help! (I'm not sure all of these are related but I'll say anyway) 1. Wear on the drivers tyre (inside) 2. Steering wanders to the nearside if I let steering will go 3. Knocking/rumbling noise coming from front (underneath). This first appeared when turning right but is now present most of the time. 4. Noise gets very loud the faster the car goes (especially motorway driving) 5. Noise seems to be linked to wheel speed I've changed bushes in panhard rod Steering box leak was fixed at last MOT Any ideas what it could be ? Thanks in advance for any help ! club
club
should add that there is no movement/play in the wheels so have ruled out hub
nicks90
should add that there is no movement/play in the wheels so have ruled out hub revisit the hub, just cos there is no play in there doesnt mean the bearing isnt fubar'd... get the wheel off the ground and give it a good spin and hear/feel for any roughness.
