JimAttrill
Well we all know it is a 27mm socket, but what thread size is it? Very fine, methinks.
oneten110
It isn't a 27mm socket on the early 300 Tdi, from memory, the crank nut on mine is either 29 or
simonb
Right then, this is from a new one which I had in my parts box. ERR5087, zinc plated 8.8 grade HTS, 27mm across flats. Thread is 53mm long, extends whole length of shank. 19.6mm across widest part of thread, thread pitch approx 1.5mm.
