isuzurover
So one has a choice, with the Longs, to either:1. decrease the diameter of the stub shaft on the Long CV OR 2. increase the inner diameter of the Rover swivel housing If that is true? I've done #2, which I think doesn't put more stress on the CV... Am I missing out on something... 2. should say "bore stub axles (spindles to americans) to fit CV stub" Doing number 1 doesn't mean you don't need to do 2, just by slightly less. The conversion on Michele's 90 used CV supplied by keith that were already machined down slightly. One stub axle was large enough that the CV just fit through (if the CV stub wasn't machined the stub axle would have needed slight boring, to allow enough clearance - for oil, and to be sure of no metal-on-metal contact) - while the other stub axle needed very slight boring.
