Ratty43
I bypassed it on my 200tdi without any problems, the pipe going into the damper is the same thread as the one on the slave so it's a straight forward job.
bear
Hi, Double de-clutching takes the strian of the synchromesh gears hence easier gearchanging. Could this be the problem? ,although I wouldn't have thought it was on all gears. Regards
Wolfie69
I did the same on my 200tdi a few years ago it had the syptoms as you have described. I simply moved the pipe from the damper to the slave cylinder problem solved.
Range Rover Blues
Damper also used on the Metro I beleive. I know people have problems bleeding them and they don't last forever. They are meant to stop vibrations through the fluid into the pedal.
