M&S
I'm not looking at one for my vehicle, but I did come across these the other day and wondered if they weere a good, relatively cheap solution to engine preheating? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/engine-preheater-block-heater-coolant-heater-HOT-FROG-/260698664613?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Other_Vehicle_Parts_Accessories_ET&hash=item3cb2d9eea5
David Sparkes
The principle of operation is OK, based on my experience with a Kenlowe Hotstart, and without checking I suspect the price is better than Kenlowe charge. The Kenlowe is (was) 3kw, against the Frogs 1.24kw. The two problems with the Kenlowe, after the purchase price, was finding the space to put the thing, and hoping the pump would start next winter. Neither of those points are examined in the advert for the HotFrog. The other almost vital accessory is a time switch. The heater may need switching on before you get out of bed in the morning.
