DaveMac
My 2001 TD5, has suddenly started indicating water in fuel on dash indicator this morning. Tank is half full and was filled a week or so back. Seems to be running fine. Is it worth while cleaning the water/fuel sensor and filter ? or am I stuck with draining the tank and flushing etc? If I continue to use existing fuel in tank, is there a danger of doing any damage ? Owned vehicle since new, Never had this before. Help....................... Puffernutter
The sensor is in the fuel filter, not the tank. Just open the bottom of the filter and drain the water out. It's not a major issue, the water build up will just be progressive. Cheers Peter
