flatback90
just got off the blower with a mate and he was tellin me it was -8 outside and he was going to refit the head to his motor outside in the cold we got to thinking and talking about temp and the possible effects of torqueing steel head bolts into an aluminium block when both metals were below freezing. he said that the head bolts stuck to his hand when he picked them up !! fozsug
As long as the head , block, bolts etc are all outside (ie not taken the head out from the kitchen to the garage)should be all right, as long as the spaners and ratchets dont get welded to his hands. western
far to cold just to be outside, let alone trying to refit a cylinder head, best he leaves it till the temp is back in positive figures
