sussex-landy
I have changed over the dizzy as part of my engine replacement and need to align the timing with the top dead centre of the engine which I have done based on the book but I have seen lots of ways to test this and wanted to know if anyone else had changed a V8 over and replaced the dizzy with their original one. Is this something I should pay a garage to do, Thanks Robert
FridgeFreezer
Don't think you need to take it to a garage, it's not complicated. Just get yourself a timing light and set it up as per the book.
sussex-landy
Is it really that easy. Just wanted to check from someone thats done it before I go to the trouble. Thanks Robert

Which part of it is causing you trouble? A search of the forum (probably Range Rover forum would be best) should yeild a few posts on timing. Personally I'd ditch the lot and go Megasquirt'n'EDIS, set the timing from the laptop
