jumping jack
Just a quick question are the diff's the same ratio on the front on a '85 110 and a '94 300tdi disco? The 110's diff is making nasty noises and I've got a dead disco sat in the yard. Just wondering if I can get away with swapping the axles over? Thanks Pete
LR90
Ratios (3.54:1) are the same. There are many other differences between the two axles though so a complete swap as you suggest may prove easier than trying to interchange parts. jumping jack
Thanks, thought as much but wasn't sure. Your right, didn't want to be mucking about with different splines etc etc.

Phil Hancock
Same ratios but the hockey sticks might be a different size at the axle/arm bushes and the 110 will have bigger caliper pistons & pads but the discs could be the same, it just depends on the individual vehicle brake specs as regards vented or solid discs.
