tomaco1
Its getting cold and the noise from my Power steering is concerning me. I was wondering what you guys use in you trucks, it seems in the states they use ATF for the later V8's. Was wondering about synthetic? Thanks
western
Standard PAS fluid should be more than adequete, is your level correct ?
LandyManLuke
I've never had a PAS noise that has been cured by changing the type of fluid. I use standard ATF with no issues. Any noise is normally due to me having just worked on the system, meaning it needs bleeding.
tomaco1
It could need a bleeding, the level does seem correct, its just that it only does it when the temp is below 30F or zero C for you guys.
LandyManLuke
Interesting, apart from a few days last week, it hasn't been above freezing here for a few weeks now.
ajh
I use mobile ATF, no issues at all. I also run the oversized alloy reservoir to keep things cool.
