Duncan
After sledging the Disco down a snowy hill into a defender I need to replace the Automatic transmission fluid cooler as it got " banana'd " and the pipes got bent and kinked, these pipes run the whole way to the gearbox so instead of replacing them can I just cut the kink out and use a small section of flexible oil line? my only concern is if the system is under much pressure? Cheers Duncan
BogMonster
About 30-40psi IIRC - yes you can use flexi pipe, did this on my old Discovery

Duncan
Hi John, yes fine for oil cooler pipes what everyone does when fitting to series
Range Rover Blues
The auto box pipes can be cut and spliced, my LSE now has an extra oil cooler and it's fitted that way. the engine cooler pipes I'd want some method of securing the flexi to the cut pipes and the original pipe is way too soft for a decent fitting. Could be just me but I don't want that pipe coming off when I'm driving, I'd seen one split and the engine had a lucky escape.
lrfarmer
i've just extened the engine oil cooler pipes on my 110 by welding a bigger bit of pipe over theold pipes then bracing it over
