HPLP
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any experience of this.....I have a H14 superwinch PTO winch and the last part of the shaft that runs conects from the engine to the winch rattles like mad and its driving me nuts. Does anyone have any ideas how I can sort it? H
dirtydiesel
In my experiance the shafts can be noisey even when in good condition. i've found the noise is at it's worst when respooling the cable in say 4th or 5th at aprox 2k rpm From your description the noise is coming from the hexagonal sliding joint these are a wearing part and are available from superwinch. HPLP
It was the hex part but I managed to loose that and I made up one from a sliding joint using new tractor pto shaft. It just seems that the shaft vibrates like mad on the bracket that bolts onto the sump. H
daveturnbull
Move the bracket from the sump to the chassis leg. I made up a new bracket that bolts through the lhd steering box holes for mine. A couple of cleverly positioned blobs of weld will stop the hexagonal joint from rattling.
