biggles
Has anyone fitted the JE engineering uprated manifold studs on a TD5 defender? or does anyone know if it is worth doing? thanks
landy andy.
No, but I have a complete set that I have not used. Has your exhaust manifold warped? or are you just trying to prevent this? They are standard strength studs but are much longer with a metal spacer, to go between the manifold and the nut. Strange only found the evelope containing these yesterday. Philip Tonkin
I have IRB uprated studs (which are not studs at all) these also use a spacer like the JE ones. Certainly not had any manifold problems since fitting.

Andy Thanks for reply Andy, no not warped, ive done quite a few mods to the engine and thought while im at it i may as well change the studs, just posted to see if any one had fitted them. If you was thinking of parting with them let me know, as i would be interested,do they have the spacers etc? Steve

Grant.
Ive got the IRB bolts with the spacers, and have slightly warped a manifold whilst i had them(didnt know as it didnt whistle or screech), and nothing broke, worth there weight in gold for the hassle it saved!
