jonny555
Hi All, Ive got a problem !! I've just changed the head gasket on my Range Rover 300TDI. it started straight away which i was please about. I notice that oil fumes where puffing out the oil filler cap I went tuen it off staight away but by the time I got there it had forced all the oil out the sump from all over the place !!! do you think the head gasket has failed straight away and pressurised the oil system ? or could there be another explaination ? I had the head pressure tested and skimmed before re-fitting it. any advice would be most helpfull ! also it's done 227000 ! so is it worth just replacing the whole engine ? thanks Jon
BogMonster
Why did you replace the head gasket in the first place i.e. was it doing this before or if not what was it doing?
Typsey
Did you fit the head gasket the right way round? Mate of mine didn't and ended up with similar problem.
