eds
I have been given 2 drive flanges RUC 105200 genuine parts. I was looking at microcat and it says FRC5806. I am driving a 200 tdi KA928843 vin number 110 inch. Are these the correct parts, have the numbers changed and been updated? Thanks Ed
western
RUC105200 is the updated 9 digit number for FTC859 which is the thinner 30tdi version FRC5806 is this one on Paddocks website & on LRseries which is the early pre-300tdi thicker version. eds
Thanks Ralph for that........... As they are original genuine does this thickness issue mean anything to me? Should I be getting the thicker genuine ones or are they no longer made. Are the genuine thin ones still better than the paddocks thick ones? Any info would be great :-) Ed
Litch
Thick or thin flanges are not just a difference in quality & strength, they refer to early or late axles and you need to have the correct flanges for your axles. Early axles had the thicker flanges while later axles have the thinner ones.
western
if your 110 is a 200Tdi or earlier ith rear drum brakes you need the thicker drive flanges, if it's a 300Tdi or later then you need the thinner version, I can't remember what year your 110 is, but for example my '89 110 needs the thick version. eds
I'm driving a 110 200tdi vin KA928843 L reg which I think is late 93. It was one of the last 200tdi. So I am concluding that these are the wrong flanges, am I right. Thanks
Mo Murphy
Can you not compare them to what's on your 110 at the moment ? Mo
eds
Unfortunately I am not nearby at the moment to do a visual, Now quite confused too as to whether the newer thin one will fit or not. Which is the thin bit, the bit the bolts go through.........
Retroanaconda
Yes. See the difference here: Thin (later) Flange Thick (earlier) Flange Microcat says the flanges changed at VIN LA930456, which is after yours so they probably won't fit your 110. The bolt PCD is different, as well as the thickness, which is what stops it fitting. Plus the length of the half-shaft splines. I say probably because if it's a very late 200Tdi then it could have had a 'bitsa' axle set quite easily. Is it drums or disks on the back? western
Which is the thin bit, the bit the bolts go through......... Yes, bolt length is different to. suspect you need the thicker version.
eds
These replacement parts are definitely the thin ones I have got drums on the back
Retroanaconda
Then 99% certainly they won't fit, as your axles will have thick flanges Do let us know how you get on, if you're not successful you should be able to sell them on without any problems, as they're an in-demand part. eds
Hopefully I will be able to return them but annoyingly I bought them over a year ago but just have not wanted to fit them until now. They chose the parts for me so it is their mistake, I wonder where I stand legally They were over 30 quid each so not sure if I would ever get that back on the second hand price idea
