RRMatador
Hello everyone, although there are countless threads i've read on this matter, i couldnt find a relevant fix. My P38 has never given me any starting probs - fired 1st or 2nd crank always...until yesterday. It's now a pig to start and i seem to have a lot of air in the fuel line - even when the engine is running. Anything i should be checking apart from split pipes, which upon first glance seem ok? TIA Regards Matt
Escape
The easy fix is to put a non-return valve between the filter and the feed from the tank. If the starting problems only occur when the car has been sitting overnight, this should be solve it (as it did with mine). If it happens every time, even after standing for only a short time, I'd look for leaks. Likely suspects are the fuel return lines on the injectors or the connections to the injection pump. pete3000
http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=62977 worked for me, bit biased as I wrote it.
