piper109
I am going to be stopping over in UK for a few days, probably in a week or two's time. I am considering buying a replacement cylinder head to take home with me as mine is smoking at times and I do not really know its condition. I have seen several available on Ebay and I know Turner has some, foundry 4x4 etc. I'm a bit confused as I know there are "pattern" heads out there which may or may not be very good. I don't really want to pay very top prices but I don't know how to sort through the maze. Anyone have some good advice or good experiences? Anyone know what a 300tdi head with valves might weigh? Thanks for your help, Steve
western
I'd go to Turner Engineering & buy from them, you could have it posted either to your home or to the location your are staying at while in the UK. See the 4th & 5th items on this page http://www.turnerengineering.co.uk/acatalog/Special_Offers.html

Heads weigh 15kg Standard head comes from International/Land Rover in Brazil. Performance head is AMC I think from Spain. Anyone know about other suppliers? Shipping to USA costs much less than paying VAT. Steve
jil6939
I got mine from Roland at ACR Deeside. Give him a ring. Mine is an AMC head.
