subseauk
Hi Got to renew some or all of wiring in wings to lights and indicators. Are the landrover colours used same as LUCAS standard? Have to ask as the bits hanging in the wings with no ends and the bits that were twist spliced and have parted due to corrosion are all different ( looks like what was at hand at the time used in several joints and extensions) I'd like to be able to go to an automotive sparky supplier tomorrow and pick up correct colours for heads, side and indicators. Also would like to know if these wing looms are wired directly into the relay or switch and what would be quickest way to change out existing wiring for new ie splice in again, replace wire terminations and if so what type required etc. Advice or Opinions. Appologies if this info is available somewhere on forums as i have done a search but not found anything decisive. Are headers plugs or joints or both? Any help appreciated as this is turning into a bit of a rush job. Rgds Kev
nickwilliams
Landrover's wiring colour coding is based on BS AU 7. Several places have details the web, here's one for a start and here is a better one which you can dowload and print out. Nick.

Many Thanks Nick There are some differences on the drawing i found namely the wire between the column switch & flasher / hazzard units is labelled LGN (light green & ?? ) on list shows light green and brown. but the main wiring colours will do for me as i only want to replace the earths and switch feeds. excellent help mate. rgds Kev
