just toying with some ideas and am thinking of putting a disco td5 engine with autobox into a def.

the auto into def bit i am not too concerned about.

the general engine in to the def from a basic plumbing perspective/engine mounts perspective i am happy with.

What i am after is any information on what to take from the disco (would have a complete donor vehicle) loom wise and what is needed loom wise to run the auto and engine.

Plus what sensors etc are needed or you can run without.

i believe the td5 has a fuel shunt cut off too, can this be bypassed along with the 10A(?) alarm system - if so how?

This may be of use James: http://www.web-rover.co.uk/nav.php?p=my_td5

Since Td5 Defender existed basically everything is available rather easily and should be quite simple to set up by just getting the correct Td5 parts. Of course some things will have to be made up and modified, but depending on the level of expense you're willing to go to most of it should be easy :)
