longlandy
Hello has anyone fitted chevy blazer axles to a landrover. I have an idea that they arent considered that strong in the US, but what axles are! I bought them on the bay for some reason (£100 the pair) so Im thinking anything has got to be better than rover and maybe they might be comparable to lc80 items if they hold up to a 6.2td
simonr
Do they have lockers? How wide are they? Si

ToyRoverlander
Aren't they Dana44's?
longlandy
They are 64.5" wide(good steering lock and link triangulation me thinks). I think the type is chevy 10 bolt. Drivers side diff and centre rear. Looks like high steer will be easy too.
Bowie69
Wikipedia has good info here: Dana 44 - Front axle (1973-1977/78) GM Corporate 10 Bolt - Front axle (1977/78-1991) GM Corporate 12 Bolt - Rear axle (1973–1981) GM Corporate 10 Bolt - Rear axle (1982–1991)
ToyRoverlander
From what I've read is that stock dana44's are stronger than rover axles (duhh....). And if you want more strenght, there's is lots of aftermarket support for these axles.
