Puffernutter
They say "if it ain't broke don't fix it"! All I was doing was checking the friction material thickness on the shoes at the rear and the depth of material on the pads at the front. So, first I could get the drum screw out, so they had to be drilled off, I backed off the adjusters and got the drum off - depth of friction material was fine. On the second one (offside) there was evidence of a leak on the wheel cylinder, so I ordered a new one and replaced it today. Of course, neither of the brake fittings would turn around the brake pipe, so they both sheared and I had to make up a new brake pipe (flaring brake pipes is not my favourite job!) So all back together, bled through, adjusted up and the pedal still goes to the floor. Re bled, re-adjusted and the pedal still goes to the floor. A few pumps and its hard, but it doesn't last long (I know that problem!) can you get viagra for Land Rovers? So, any thoughts, where do I start - it was all working fine at the start of this week! I was hoping to make it better, not worse! Cheers Peter
Frax
I would just keep bleeding it as there must be air in the system somewhere or you have a leak. Frax
