rawsondsr
Got a new stub axle today, and in the box was a big copper ring, whats this used for? about 1/4 inch thick, too small to go over the stub? cant remember seeing it before?
Retroanaconda
Goes inside the back of the stub axle. It's a bush to centralise the shaft as it goes through, and on front stub axles acts as a locating point for the shoulder on the CV (centres steering axis properly). It's a roller bearing on some models too.
western
IIRC it fits in the rear face of the stub axle
