bigstevemex
hi all my 110 is leaking from the fuel tank seam so it seams i will be changing the tank.is it possible to fit the plastic tank that was fitted to the last 300 tdi models? i have a 94 110 300 tdi and it has had a tank fitted in the last 2 1/2 years just before i bought it. this is a keeper so i want to do it right and once only. it also drains back fuel overnight and will get me out of the drive and up the road then onto tickover for 10-15 seconds then ok again.i am also planning to change the rigid plastic pipes for copper ones as i suspect that these are drawing in air.the olives have all been recently done when i fitted new crossmember.am i correct in assuming that the pipe is 8mm.any help greatly appreciated thanks steve. mmgemini
With the lift pump being a self purg system,,When the lift pump fails lack of power on first starting is one of the symptoms Plastic fuel pipes are ten thousand times better than metal ones.
