Tazz070299
Hi I need a cycle carrier which can carry up to 3 bikes which fits on my defender with a spare wheel on the back door .can anyone give me some suggestions which to buy I use one of these Click here. The bikes are held securely, and are easy to put on and off. The fold down feature doesn't work very well though as it's designed for an estate type lifting door, not a side opener. lil_me
We have a Thule one which is ok. Halfords do a one that mounts onto the spare wheel I think but not sure how good it is
Ian Barrett
Landrover did a towbar mounted cycle carrier. Of the type which hinges and lowers the bikes to the floor. I have one hanging up in my garage if you need any numbers off it.

Of all the different types, my personal preference is the Witter 4x4. It is a very simple rack which doesn't clamp to the ball (a method I have never liked). The Pendle rack is much more expensive but neither are anywhere near as expensive as the Thule.
