kyotekid
Hi, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I remove the rear bumper from my rusty 1989 classic, as the bolts that hold it on are rounded off, and rusty as f**k, and I can see no way of getting an angle grinder in as the gap is too small. Has anyone else come up against this problem, if so how did you get round it??
DC_
Mines came off no bother when I was driving through the forest on a charity drive and rubbed against a tree
Darren Roberts
Can you get a nut splitter over the nut (assuming that the nuts are on the chassis side of the rear cross member and not the bumper side....
Highway_Star
Darren, no that won't work, there's no nuts. The bolts go through the chassis into the bumper, the holes in the bumper are threaded.
kyotekid
Managed to get it off eventually, after using a cold chisel, and a very big hammer
