Les Henson
Heritage certificate is accepted bt the DVLA, so you might get exempt staus on it. I used it to get the build date on a 1973 registered SWB S3, and it was made in Dec 1972, so I got exempt on it. Well worth the £28 it cost then. Les. David Sparkes
.... trying to decide the exact date of reg but it just states April 67 to March 68, can I be more specific without going to the heritage place?? You will have a lot of detail made available to you, warts and all, with perhaps too much emphasis on the warts, by asking on the Forum for the Series 2 Club. You don't have to be a member to use the forum. Without pictures they can pin down the build date based on the VIN, (and they might be more accurate than CALVIN) but you will always be asked for pictures if you want an opinion on value, as this will depend not only on the condition of parts, chassis, bodywork, etc, but also (in a lot of opinions) on how many Series 3 bits have been added over the years, whether as 'improvement' or because they were all that was available at the time. Chequer plate and wide wheels can also come in for negative comment. Depending on your own preferences it is best to let a lot of the negativity fly over your head, IMHO. gaz0203
well ive bought it. did a check and vin comes back as s2a 2.6 6cyl 109, green home market rhd with basic trim. currently fully original painted white with reflective strips and dealer stickers, rear canopy with beacons and lighted name board and a complete harvey frost on the back. im well chuffed to be honest. needs a couple of outriggers, 2 dumbirons, footwells and a good tune up, not bad for 470 quid!!
