Any guesses at what this lathe is ?

It looks to me like either a Colchester, Boxford or Harrison based on the gear-change operation.

It looks pretty good with a dovetail bed, quick-change thread cutting gearbox, powered cross slide and big enough to make decent stuff!

Well IIRC my Colchester Student 1800, which looks similar in size is 790KG. So time to enlist some proper lifting equipment/help

I was lucky enough to know a man with a Hiab to pick it off my trailer. It rolled into the garage quite easily on some 2" dia stock with help from a crowbar.

In my opinion that's a very very good price, don't forget it's probably 3 phase so you would need to add the cost of an inverter or a single phase motor (assuming it's a standard motor and not something fancy) .

Try to find out why they are getting rid of it just in case it's knackered.

It's got a single phase motor that someone's put on. But the 3 phase motor is also included.

I have a big forklift that i can use to offload and get into the workshop, it's loading the other end i'm not sure about ?
