sussex-landy
So I have done everything it needs after fitting the replacement V8 and everything else along the way, MOT has been booked for last 6 months to give me a timeframe to work too and today I role up at 12:30 to be told "argh its too high for our jack on the ramp" because the chassis is over 2ft off the ground from the wheels. Give me a break the wheels are only 33 12.50s and I see people with 37s on. Does anyone have a landrover friendly garage in the Horsham area that can do the MOTs and know what they are doing with a 40 year old vehicle. I have no more hair to lose now. Mark
Go and see Steve at Kevin Griffin Cars. Very helpful, and they know their way around land rovers of all ages (or at least all the ones I have taken in there) Cheers Mark
sussex-landy
Thanks I will give them a go hopefully they have a better idea what to do when someone has bigger tyres and lifted suspension on. Thanks robert
Hybrid_From_Hell
Why even think of using chav world for an mot ?
Retroanaconda
It's the old Nationwide Autocentres chain, which is now branded Halfords. Hopefully it won't be Halfords staff doing the MOTs
sussex-landy
They were giving 50% off and it wasnt halfords staff doing it but still they couldn't do it either way. I wont be taking my other landies there either.

wozza35
When they do these 50% deals they then just look for twice as many problems so they can get their money back
stuck
Robert, I'm assuming they didn't charge you? If not anybody feel like a spot of Halfraud baiting?

GBMUD
As per Mark's advice above, Kevin Griffin Cars have been doing mine and many other Landrovers for years. Chris

Daan
What he meant to say was: we dont have parts for landrovers and you dont look like you need any new tyres soon (which I dont stock anyway and cant be arssed to order them in). I wont make any money on you because it is a sorted car, so with the 50% discount it is costing me money to take you car on. person I'm not that keen on, but thats what they do. Smego
If you going to drive all the way to Keith gott, then either see Paul ar challenger in Tongham or go to New Moon garage in holt pound and see Alan, he knows his way around a landy.
